For quite some time I had been looking for another perfect horse. I admit, I have been very spoiled with P-nut and Ben. However, I wanted a horse that could sustain me, because I know I am not a small person. I wanted a horse above 15hh, and I wanted something that I could have fun with. I didn't just yet want a gaited horse, but I wanted the horse to be smooth. I hadn't considered a Morgan because I didn't want another bay horse unless it was the right one... and I happened upon an ad for Kay. I thought, what the heck... a buckskin Morgan. If nothing else, I'll be able to meet a Morgan and see what they're like. What a day that turned out to be! I was instantly in love from the moment I met her! I can now say the "Morgan Bug" has bit me hard, as I have a feeling that from now on I will always have a Morgan in my life. I do love my QH and my Arabian, but after they pass on from old age, I don't think I will have anything else besides a Morgan. All thanks to a giant, overgrown "Golden Retreiver" named Kaydee Bugg. Though I am not planning on showing Morgans, I do plan on breeding Kay in the future and will be keeping her foal for myself. Kay came from Selah Morgans, who was part of my insperation to name my kennel "Selah". I had thought of the name for quite some time but did not get past thinking it. Once Kay came home, it just seemed that it was meant to be... HE had been telling me all along that it would be Selah, but I just hadn't listened to God yet. Though my hounds will be under the kennel name, Selah, my future Morgans will be under the farm name of Four-O-Clock Farm. My Grandmother and I both love Four-O-Clock flowers and enjoyed thier coming every spring and summer... and it is my wish to name my Morgans after the flowers she and I enjoyed together.
