It was about a year ago now that I was contacted by Lori with Elessar Hounds about a litter from her girl, Kyra, and my boy, Maverick. I had admired Kyra for a while, and first saw her on the internet when I was considering a puppy by Lori's boy, Strider, and Lynn Shell's girl Ginger... but as fate had it, I ended up with a puppy from Lynn's next litter, my girl Miss Kitty. I liked Kyra, and was surprised that she wanted to use Maverick since his showing has been severely limited due to his broke jaw / loosing a premolar and molar. He was shown at Silkenfest, and that's where she fell in love with him. So fast forward to January of 2008, when Miss Kyra flew out here to Selah to have a tryst with Maverick. Maverick was in heaven, Kyra fell in love, and Miss Kitty became a giant green jealous monster!
On March 11th, Kyra blessed us with five beautiful, MARVEL-ous puppies! The Elessar's Super Hero Litter !!
I have to admit, it was a VERY hard decision as to which puppy would come here. I said from the moment that Kyra arrived here that I wanted a Kyra clone... and they gave us a Kyra clone, Elissar's Marvel Girl. My heart did yearn for her, and my heart skipped a few beats with the girl that Lori has decided to keep, Elissar's Marvel Storm. However, Miss Lilly caught my eye from day one. Though I was leaning towards Marvel Girl still, Lilly made it clear to me that she was the one by a simple act of breaking her tail. Those who know me, know the pun that I have the "Half Tailed Pack", so I knew right then she was the one.
I'm really looking forward to getting her, Pappa Maverick, and Miss Kitty out into the ring come this fall!
