Sakeri

Sakeri, aka Saki, is my first Saluki. What an adventure he has taken me on! With in the first six months of him being here, he had eaten six couches! SIX!! I couldn't help but love him though. Every morning he'd wake me with a yawl and a roo just for me. He absolutely adored people, and was anything but a "typical" Saluki. Far from it, he'd cat-rub against any stranger, and would greet everyone I would allow him to.

Saki has been a joy in the pet therapy world as well. The first Therapy Saluki in Alabama, and the first Animal Assisted Crisis-Response Saluki in the nation, Saki has really set his mark on the Saluki world. Getting his CGC at just six months of age, he "unnofficially" passed the Therapy certification at 10 months of age. He officially passed all his Therapy tests at 1 year, 1 day old, and has been doing pet therapy ever since. Saki is often seen at UAB's Liver Transplant unit, South Eastern Elementary School, or at various other Animal Assisted Activities.
